Rubrik, Inc. agreed to acquire Datos IO, Inc. from a group of sellers on February 5, 2018. Datos IO will continue to be led by Tarun Thakur as a new business unit called Rubrik Datos IO reporting to Chief Executive Officer Bipul Sinha.

Rubrik Datos IO was formerly known as Datos IO, Inc. and changed its name to Rubrik Datos IO in February 2018. The company was founded in 2014 and is based in the San Jose, California. As of February 6, 2018, Rubrik Datos IO operates as a subsidiary of Rubrik, Inc.
